Orbex’s new family of compact wheel drives (CWD) are on the way, offering an integrated motor-and-wheel solution for mobile robot designs that require components with increased performance in smaller sizes without sacrificing capabilities.
The CWD500 and CWD1000 feature an innovative design that allows them to provide smooth motion in a cost-effective, compact form factor. Their integrated design simplifies installation by removing the hassle of combining a motor, gearbox and wheel. Each CWD features a rugged design optimized for long life.
We optimized our wheel drives for mobile robot applications like autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and automated guided vehicles (AGV). Each wheel drive features excellent power, torque density and low-noise operation, allowing you to use them in applications that require minimal sound generation.

- 160-millimeter wheel diameter
- 25-Newton-meter nominal output torque
- Nominal output velocity of 240 rpm
- Optional 24 VDC brake provides 4 Nm torque
